Baby jesus tears

 | Stacey brought in a pastry from casablanca today. It was part of her reward for babysitting kari's baby last night. It's a appetizer and we're not sure what it's called. It's made of layers of flakey pastry dough with almond/nut paste (which ended up being very meaty, kari told stace it vegetarian, but i'm not so sure...) and also a layer of something that was probably flavored with tumeric, as it had that was bright yellow hue. The whole thing was then sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar. A great combo of sweet and savory. And oh so tasty! Jeff said the flavor reminded him of baby jesus's tears. |
