Mr stripey vs. Emerill

 | There's a tomato guy at the farmer's market and he's got some yummy looking produce. Last time I was there I picked up a large heirloom called mr. stripey. I sliced it into thick slices and put it between toasted dark rye bread and a little salt and pepper. Super tasty. okay now speaking of heirloom tomatoes I saw one of the dopiest things the other day. I was at the produce section at safeway and took a look at their heirloom tomatoes and was flabbergasted. On each of the tomatoes was an emerill (as in the chef) sticker. Next to them were packs of cherry tomatoes with emerill's face on them. What? I don't understand how produce can have a sponsor...what? |
