 | today we have another office show. Sony brought in their new darling band augustana (from san diego). They have a pleasant, non-offensive, safe and boring sound. Lots of keyboards, emotional vocals, and psuedo-epic wails. I can see where people could like them. Jeff says he's willing to bet good money that there press release/sellsheet has the word "coldplay" on it somewhere. I wouldn't doubt it, only they've got more of the OC fan visual aesthetic (in fact, when it was over jeff leaned over to say "Next week on the OC..."). Also 3 out of 4 of these guys look like they weigh 100 pounds each. I wonder if the healthy looking one ever feels fat? also they're last song was called "boston" and the end lyric is "i want to go where no one knows my name" clever clever nod to cheers, no? |
