pancake surprise!
last night samshrew and i were trying to come up with some for father's day.
we decided that we'd make a few batches of pancakes.
for some reason i woke up at around 5am, samshrew woke up at 6:45.
i made her get dressed and come to the store with me.
we bought blueberries, bananas, chocolate chips and whip cream.
i guess we were going heavy on "cake" side of pancake.
we also bought him a trophy shaped balloon and the newspaper.
(their new subscription hasn't started yet).
his real father's day gift was going to be late, but we did what we could do.

so cute!
after breakfast we headed back to the old house.
there were more cabinets to stain, and ceilings to be painted.
at one point late in the afternoon, my mom and dad left for the store.
they had to (once again) go to the home supply store
(they're starting to know us there, we've gone every day).
when they came back, they also brought mcdonald's with them.
i think it's funny that i haven't had mcdonald's in a really long time,
and then lately i've been having it a lot lately.
they had bought each of a happy meal and cheeseburgers.
my mom was pretty excited about the toy.
her and my dad were just like big kids. sometimes i wonder.

3 hours of talking to.
again we left the house prety late.
it had to have been at least 10,
(or so it felt like it).
when i got home i took a shower to wash off all the paint.
i had to really scrub as it was stain not paint.
afterwards i went downstairs, my mom had made some food.
i was wondering why no one else was eating,
but they were playing games or sleeping already.
so i sat down and ate, and listened to my mom talk for 3 hours.
