this morning randall and i had to get ourselves to stansted airport.
but we wanted to grab coffee first.
so we went to starbuck's.
i need to find a good coffee place around here.
starbucks seems to be the most consistent,
but their mochas tend to be too sweet.

3 pound outbound tickets from london to stockholm. the whole trip was less than 50 pounds roundtrip. now i need to find a way to obtain more vacation...

after grabbing a coffee, we went to the airport.
it's only 25 minutes by train.
stansted is a neat looking airport,
but not the most comfortable.
i spent the night there once a few years ago.
it wasn't horrid, but wasn't fun either.
but that's a long story that you can ask scottel about.
this time was much nicer, the wait wasn't very long.
just enough time to grab a bite to eat.
(burger king chicken nuggets were the only "fast" option)

we arrived a few hours later in västerås, sweden.
we had found the flights online for a really cheap rate.
obviously they were trying to fill the plane as it was only 1/3 the way full.
we landed in a really small airport, they handed us our luggage right off the plane!
there wasn't even a currency exchange.
there was a bus going into stockholm, but we didn't know that it existed,
and we had booked a hotel in västerås for the first night.
we thought we were screwed.
but then we realized the taxi drivers took credit cards.
so we went to västerås and checked in.
afterwards we walked about and decided to get some dinner.
we ended up at this pizza place where i had banana curry pizza.
and it is as amazing as it sounds!
