totally frapped out.

generic wheatabix

yesterday randall had bought a box of generic wheatabix.
(sainsbury's brand)
i guess he had to buy that kind because they were out of the real kind.
(except for the box of 48 pieces)
so we had generic wheatabix with sugar and milk for breakfast.

pork links.

union chapel
i have decided that this is my favorite venue. not only do you get to sit down and watch happily, but you can drink beer in church. and the stained glass window is a plus too.

fun with english.

musical terms
they call things differently than we do. for example:

semi-breve = whole note

minim = half note

crotchet = quarter note

quaver = eighth note

semi-quaver = sixteenth note

hemi-demi-semi-quaver = 32nd note

chicken pita

we didn't really have anything planned today.
except for planning our vacation.
we ended up finding cheap flights to sweden,
so that's where we're going.
tomorrow.
it was last minute and random, but it should be fun.
after organizing our flights and first night hotel,
we decided to grab a bite to eat.
we went to gardenia's for a gyro.
(i had the "soulvakia" which is their chicken equivalent)
and some chips.

cider at the hope and anchor

after lunch we decided to go in to london.
we have a book we're supposed to deliver to leslie.
and, they never check the tickets on the train,
so i had 2 "free" trips.
when we got on the train we remembered that goldfrapp was playing.
but that the show was sold out.
we decided we'd try our luck.
when we got there no one approached us for "spare tickets?"
so we went to the bar across the street for ciders instead.
when we came back outside, we saw the most endearing girl.
she was this asian girl who looked about 12, but was probably 30.

goldfrapp

eventually we found some tickets.
and they weren't that badly priced.
i think the ticket scalping is a cover for a larger drug deal.
and that the guys checking tickets are skimming some off the top.
they ushered us through a different door.
it was so bizarre, but it was worth it.
goldfrapp was amazing. truly amazing.
and it was in a church. so amazing.

bar italia

after the show we decided to get a coffee.
we ended up in soho and decided to go to bar italia.
i wonder how much business they've received because of pulp
(they had a song about bar italia in soho).
i had a cappucino and randall a mocha.
we also split a cheese crossaint.
i kept trying to get a hold of leslie, but couldn't.
eventually we had to get back to the train station.
our train was leaving at 12:01.
i got a hold of leslie at the train station,
she was going to try and meet us there.
but, the train left first.
so we never did deliver her book.
i guess i'll mail it tomorrow.
