6:45 am is just too damned early
this morning i had to get up early to take my car into the shop.
it had a safety recall i've been meaning to take of for months,
and i had hit the 60,000 mile mark.
so i brought it into the shop and had my dad follow me there
(i live too far away for their courtesy shuttle service).
on our way home my dad decided to stop at mcdonald's for an egg mcmuffin.
i felt like i was in one of their commercials.
father and daughter going early to a mcdonald's, walking in, ordering,
just the two of them chatting for the first time in years.
it was pretty surreal.

i ended up spending the afternoon trying to burn cds.
i finally got the cd burner to work again,
but only after wasting about 7 other cds.
it was pretty annoying.
when i was finished with that my mom came home and dragged me away.
she has a friend who's selling all their furniture,
and another friend who's buying it all.
and we have big van for transporting things,
so i got to move furniture all evening.
when we were finished we all went back to my house where my mom made steak.
it wasn't such a fruitless evening though,
i ended up getting two very cute bar stools for my non-existant house
(but what i really wanted was the couch).
