new juju
this morning my mom drove me to juju's house
(orginally i was going to drive myself,
but my mom needed the car since his was broken).
juju and i were headed to the city for fun and games.
when i got there the new juju fed me lemon bars she'd just made.
i'm calling her the new juju because she dyed her hair black yesterday.
she did this because she works as a piano player for a restaurant,
and she doesn't feel she makes enough tips.
but apparently the other pianists do and she thinks it's because they're older.
so she's decided to dye her hair black to make her look older,
but since it was so pale white/yellow it came out dark dark dark blue.
i don't really think that's what she's going for.

well, the artwork is funny.
once we had a taste of the lemon bars, juju and i headed into the city.
before we got there we stopped at the ranch for chinese candy treats.
we also got a bubble tea -- pudding flavored -- which was too too sweet.
afterwards we drove over the bridge and juju dropped me off on market street.
i was meeting randall at virgin and she was going to her friend's house.
once i found randall (on the third floor) we decided to go get something to eat.
we both wanted something quick and were deciding between bagels or sandwiches.
that's when randall remembered the jollibee a few blocks away.
neither of us had been there before, but we wanted to see what it was like.
it was greasy.
but the toy in the kid's meal was neat,
and the artwork on the walls was really funny.

learning new tricks
after lunch we decided to go to the exploratorium.
i had never been there before and randall still couldn't believe it.
so we decided to go spend a few hours there.
if you've never been to the exploratorium you should really go.
i felt like a little kid,
i even kicked some kids off of the black sand magnet beast creator thing
(hey, they had been hogging it for about 10 minutes.
we were leaving and i wanted to play before we left).
on our way out we walked the long way around the building,
(which is my favorite place in the city for some ridiculous reason,
although i liked it a lot better without the fence around the lake)
where we ate candy and chatted.

beyond your wildest imagination
once we left the exploratorium, we drove to the castro.
it took a few blocks to find parking, but once we did,
we took our spots in line.
we were waiting to see "spirited away" the new miyazaki film.
cindy, roderick, bridget, juju and her friend john were also going.
this film was most amazing.
i want to live in miyazaki's brain for just one day.
i'd settle for an hour, or even a minute.
i can't even begin to imagine how amazing that would be.
this film comes out later and it will be dubbed,
i'm sure it'll be done pretty well, but if you can see it now,
i say rush right out and see it.
afterwards the crew of us (minus bridget as she was watching more movies with chuckles),
went to this thai food restaurant around the corner.
i had the prawn tom yum.
yum. yum. yum.
