i got up earlier than usual today (about 10),
and so i decided to get a bowl of cereal.
i couldn't decide if i wanted sweet or wheat,
so i did what pop-culture programming suggests.
eat frosted mini-wheats and have both.

caught in a trap
after breakfast i made a few calls and went downtown.
i'm helping april distribute planet magazine in sacramento.
it's proving to be more annoying than it is fruitful.
it seems there are no cute cafe-bookshops in this area
(at least none that aren't big corporate places with their own distributors),
but i found one downtown that was willing to try a few copies.
afterwards i picked up juju and we looked for more places to distribute.
we couldn't find any so we grabbed lunch instead.
we went to the breadstore where i had 1/2 turkey sandwich and 1/2 salad.
while we were there this guy juju knows walked by,
he said hello, kept walking, and then came back puzzled.
apparently juju had turned down lunch with him a few days ago.
i guess she said it was because she didn't usually eat during the day.
i guess she got caught.

bao is sick again
at 3:15 i dropped juju off and went to pick up bao.
he had a test to make up and was getting out at 3:30.
but when i got there, he didn't show up.
i waited until 4 before going home.
i figured he probably didn't take the test and got a ride with someone else.
but when i got home i found bao upstairs in bed.
it was like a scene from a bad 80's film.
he was lying in bed half covered in a blanket, staring at the ceiling,
mouth agape and new order "leave me alone" playing on the stereo.
i had to do a couple of double-takes to make sure it was for reals.
apparently he wasn't feeling well and his coach sent him home early.
for dinner i made onion ramen with egg, cabbage, carrots and celery.
