the monkeys are sleeping, let's eat
i woke up early again this morning.
this whole drinking thing really messes with me.
randall wasn't feeling all that great and needed some food to keep him together.
luckily we had bought extra bagels yesterday, so we had some of those.
i had the plain with sundried tomato spread.
randall had the tomato basil and pesto bagels with plain cream cheese.
then cindy woke up and had the other tomato basil bagel.

for the love of hollandaise
once bridget got up (hours later),
she decided it was time to go eat.
she has to go to the walnut cafe everytime she visits santa cruz.
and she had been talking about the benedict for so long,
even i wanted to go to walnut.
so we got into the car and went to walnut.
the wait was going to be about 40 minutes.
we briefly thought about going to 99 to kill time,
but we decided against it.
we went window shopping instead.
when we came back i ordered the ahi benedict. so tasty.

the return of scottel
i was originally planning on driving back to sacramento tonight.
but after brunch i decided i would fall into a food coma if i tried.
so randall and i went back to his house and did nothing for a while.
then we went to see death to smoochy.
when we returned it was apparent that we just missed a barbecue.
but amy and brad had made a lot of food so we didn't completely miss out.
scottel was also there, he had just returned from sacramento, via scooter.
apparently there was a rally there this past weekend.
i hadn't seen him in over a month, so we caught up.
it's his birthday tomorrow, so i made him open his gift today.
portable bocce ball set. how's that for friendship?
sidenote: don't believe the bad reviews. death to smoochy was amazing.
i don't even know why half of it was funny, but it had me laughing.
outloud even.
