i've never seen her pour
this morning i got up and got ready to go to the city.
before i left i decided to grab a quick breakfast.
so i poured myself a bowl of frosted mini-wheats with milk.
my mom did what she usually does and stole a few pieces.
but today i saw something i haven't seen in a long time.
she got her own bowl.
i couldn't figure out why it looked so weird,
but then it dawned on me.
if she's really hungry she'll usually just steal the bowl.
i couldn't remember the last time i saw her pour her own.

let me show you ladies how it's done
after breakfast i drove to april's house in the city.
i thought i was running late,
but when i got there april wasn't even ready.
according to her she had nothing to wear.
so she made jessi bring some things over.
in the end, she ended up wearing something out of her own closet.
once april was ready we headed to einstein's to split the big salad.
jessi showed us how to flirt with the guy to get a bigger salad.
it was a huge salad.
the three of us split it and i was still full.

after the big salad we drove to 6th street for the planet party.
they're releasing their second issue and were having a shindig to celebrate it.
april got us in for the free drinks and sushi and magazines.
plus we decided to apply some of jessi's tips and obtain some more drinks
(although i don't know if that really counts since they were free to begin with).
we were there for most of the evening when we decided it was time to go home.
april was loaded and didn't want to leave, but jessi was bored.
i was april's guest so i had to stick with her.
we ended up leaving with jessi and went to april's house for nutella on toast.
the alternative -- some guy who's name i forget -- didn't seem like such a good idea.
