say hello to the taxman
this morning i got out of bed at around 9:30,
i had to go see the taxman one more time.
this UK-US-UK tax thing is driving me crazy.
i have to file for UK taxes twice, US taxes once, claim the credit here,
drop the credit there, carry the seven, divide by four, sign on the x,
don't sign on the X, multiply by six and viola!
so i need the old company's taxman help, it was part of the deal.
at around noon gwen stopped by to say they were eating downstairs.
a bit later, the taxman suggested we go downstairs to get something to eat.
so we went down there, got our food and sat down,
gwen and amy were nowhere to be seen.
so i had lunch with the taxman.
and words cannot begin to describe the taxman.

fancy seeing you here, in this state
at around 3:30 i was finally finished with taxman shenanigans,
so i left the company, in what i'm imagining to be the last time ever.
although i'm sure scottel thought the same thing a few months ago.
but now look at him, he's got a desk right next to the copy machine.
and a commute from PORTLAND. as in OREGON.
and he's staying at randall's house 3 nights a week,
so i suggested that us three go out to sushi dinner tonight.
there was a short wait once we got there so we stood outside.
this guy started talking to us about the wait and how he was a waiter
(for some restaurant no one had ever heard of).

what to get...
after dinner we decided to stroll around downtown for a little while.
tomorrow is brad's birthday so we wanted to find gifts.
scottel and randall went to streetlight and i stayed at borders hunting.
i looked around but couldn't think of anything.
so i went to meet them at streetlight,
and i stopped and bought 3 chocolate chip cookies on the way.
when we got home, i was annoyed that i couldn't think of anything,
so i made brad a card instead.
i had searched for mixed drinks with the word "monkey" in them,
and made an illustrated 4 drink recipe pamphlet.
i mean, you can't go wrong with drinks or monkeys, right?
