the great vanilla coke challenge

nesquick cereal

cardboard cereal
this morning i got up and had some breakfast.
i have no idea why i'm even having breakfast these days.
i never ate breakfast before.
it's just now there are so many options.
today i invaded bao's cereal and had a bowl of nesquick cereal.
it's like cocoa puffs and cocoa krispies abandoned love child.
it turned the milk "chocolately" instantly and well,
as bao told me later, it tasted like cardboard.
wet cardboard.

pig latin

mint-flicker
invented a few months ago in cambridge, mint-flicker means a trouble maker. it can also be used as a generic insult.

"You have to watch out for that guy, he's a real mint-flicker."

or

"I hate you! You're a, a, you're a... mint-flicker! yeah, that's right, a mint-flicker!"

tortilla snack

snax
i spent the afternoon digging up files for juju.
the stupid thing is, i knew she wouldn't want these ones,
but once i got the idea in my head, i couldn't stop from doing it.
so the next thing i knew, bao was home from school.
he was complaining how he was hungry and i was too.
so i played the big sister and made an afterschool snack.
so i warmed up tortillas and stuck peanut butter and black cherry jam on them.
i know, this is probably the most blasphemous thing some of how have ever heard.
probably illegal in some circles.
but it's the price i'm willing to pay for a "ghetto crepe" as bao called it.

asparagus, meat, rice

the one i hate
there is only one vegetable (that i can think of at the moment) that i hate.
i mean absolutely find repulsive and really don't like at all.
i'm usually pretty good at eating all my veggies without complaint,
but asparagus i could live without.
my mom says it's because i've never had it cooked right.
(see i'm stupid and always TRY to eat it, just in case it's finally cooked right)
but i've had it hundreds of times and each time is just as bad.
but today, it was half decent.
don't tell my mom, but i think she actually cooked it right for once.

vanilla coke A or B

A or B ?
after grabbing a quick dinner i drove to santa cruz.
randall and i were planning on running around the city tomorrow,
so i thought i'd go ahead and head to santa cruz first.
when i got there we couldn't decide what to do until it was too late to do anything.
finally we decided we'd do the great vanilla coke challenge.
before scottel left he gave us each a bottle of vanilla syrup.
one was torani and one was antica italia.
the torani proved to be the more pleasant of the two.
it was lighter in color, and taste.
the antica was dark, like cooking vanilla, and smelled like cooking vanilla too.
strangely the torani ingredients listed "pure vanilla extract,",
while the antica listed "natural flavor" as one of its ingredients.
i almost liked the antica better, but it was just too sweet and smelled too strong.
after the taste test, we played bust-a-move until our eyes fell out.
