okay, that's no good
there's been this piece of apple pie in the fridge for about a week.
i keep thinking about eating it for breakfast, but i don't.
i just assume that someone else will want it.
apparently, that's what they're assuming too, because it just sits there.
so today i decided i would have it.
i stuck it in the microwave and zapped it for a minute or two and dug in.
and it was not so good, so i had a glass of chai instead.
i guess the pie lost the "no one wants to eat the last piece" game.
we waited to long and it went bad.
i'm always the one who finds out stuff like that, only usually it's sour milk.

year of the horse
today was chinese new year day.
meaning last night was chinese new year eve.
on new year's eve you're supposed to eat fish.
but we decided to celebrate on new year's day.
so we had fish, and shrimp, and sweet and sour pork, and greens and rice.
and we had a lot of leftovers which is a good thing.
especially the fish. you're not supposed to eat your whole chinese new year dinner.
you save just a bit, so that you'll always have more than enough food.
you're also supposed to leave all the doors open and lights on for new years eve.
but we didn't do that.
