welcome to the neighborhood
last night i went to bed at 6am, i had stayed up all night reading.
i finally finished the lord of the rings trilogy and was understanding the crazed fans.
i couldn't put the book down until it was finished.
but i didn't get to sleep in like i intended,
this morning the rest of the house forced me to wake up at 11.
we had a bunch of chores to do today, and passports to find.
later in the afternoon two ladies stopped by with a basket of cookies.
they were from the nearby church and were going door to door to say hi.
welcoming us all to the neighborhood
(my parents live in a brand new subdivision, the houses are less than a year old).
my brother began to eat all the cookies but stopped when told he was going to hell for it.
apparently someone here thinks that since we don't go to church, we aren't fit for the cookies.

a little to the left
after the cookies had been devoured, wes and juju arrived.
they were playing fashion models today, and i was the photographer.
their album "to take with you" is being "officially" released soon.
(in fact you can pre-order it on amazon.com)
and they wanted to get some photos done.
so we went out and about and shot two rolls of film,
but i don't think we'll have winning shots from those rolls.
it all felt so forced and unnatural.
the best ones are probably going to be from in-n-out burger.
we stopped there for a strawberry shake and more.

omfort to the rescue
after several hours of photoshooting, we called it a wrap,
(that and the light had gone bad)
and juju dropped me off back home.
i wasn't feeling very good when i got home,
just achey all over and pathetic.
so i warmed up omfort the bear and just sat around.
in a little ball on the couch.
i ate because they told me too, it was white colored food with meat.
cauliflower, potatoes, a rice roll and a small bit of steak.
