pocketpig

11.28.00
big in japan.

bagelrys and hippies.

this afternoon i had a bunch of errands to run.
i had to get a prescription filled and take passport photos.
while i was waiting for everything to be ready,
i stopped by the bagelry.
i got a toasted sesame bagel with cream cheese and sliced tomatoes.
the official pocketpig bagel of choice.
the girl behind the counter was a hippy with dreads.
not that there's anything wrong with that, there are a lot of them here.
but my question is, why do so many of them wear corduroy overalls?
that's all i want to know.

pork links.

tare panda
he's so big in japan!

misterpants
another daily dose.

panda gum
misterpants himself has translated the gum. i got a few other translations from people and have mentioned them prior, but misterpants went as far as to make a new graphic for me. so thanks to him and to everyone else who assisted me! hip hip hooray!

mparrettati

a couple of weeks ago, randall and i went to cost plus.
i ended up buying these weird noodles called "mparrettati."
they're these really large flat noodles
that are shaped like straw, only incomplete (the sides don't touch).
we wanted to cook them without breaking the noodles in half,
but it was really difficult.
they didn't want to fit into the pan.
we topped them with a tomato/portobello mushroom sauce and cheese.

machunk

after dinner, randall and i went downtown.
we were goign to go see a movie, but decided not to.
we stopped at the cookie store while we were downtown.
i got a machunk cookie. it's the macadamia nut/chocolate chip cookie.
it's my favorite.
afterwards we went to the bookstore, they still don't have the new smock.
i swear, this town gets magazines so late it's absolutely pathetic.
so we went home where scottel told us we should watch titan a.e.
he had rented it and it was due tommorrow, so we did.
i was pleasantly surprised, if you get a chance, you might want to check it out.
