this morning i had yet another dental appointment.
i asked the dentist if i could get a frequent visitor card,
he didn't seem to amused.
today it was to fix this tooth i chipped last week.
they shot anesthesia into my mouth to make it all numb.
that's my least favorite part.
after the dentist i went to work.
i was really hungry but couldn't really eat anything,
so i made oatmeal, it promptly dribbled down my face and onto my shirt.
who knew oatmeal could be so fun?

more mcsweeneys
caitlin pointed this site out to me, it a spoof of mcsweeneys.net, unfortunately it looks like it's for sale.
forkchops
just think, you'll never have to be embarassed and ask for a fork again. i don't know about you, but i'm just thrilled about how cool they'll look in my hair.
smallest site
self proclaimed "world's smallest website" and fun too.
25 things to say if caught sleeping in your cube
i did a search for "cubicle sleeping" and it's amazing how many times this list appears. notice all the slight variations.

for lunch we went across the street.
amy said that they were having grilled cheese sandwiches.
that sounded good.
but the sandwich was just okay.
however, the french fries were great.
they have new french fries across the street.
they sort of taste like seasoned curly fries,
only they're not curly.

later in the afternoon, we all ate carrot cake.
someone had brought it in and left it for the rest of us.
it was pretty tasty. i always forget how much i like carrot cake.
it wasn't the best carrot cake, but what do you expect for free.
after eating the cake, i felt really sleepy.
i think it was partly from the anesthesia.
i always get sleepy 6 hours later.
the only couch in the building is in the hallway and is really visible.
so i decided to curl up into a ball under my desk.
it wasn't as bad as it sounds.
i slept for about 30 minutes and felt much better.
when we move across the street this weekend,
i think the spare cube we have is a sign to invest in a couch.
