strawberry and garlic
there is this pack of bagels that have been sitting on the counter for a while,
so i decided that i would have one for breakfast.
i didn't read the package and i thought it was some sort of multiseed/grain kind.
we didn't have any regular cream cheese left, just strawberry cream cheese,
so i decided to use that.
i was spreading enough on one half when i realized the cream cheese looked weird.
so i threw it out and put strawberry jam on the other half.
when i bit into the bagel i realized it was an everything bagel, not a multiseed/grain.
garlic and onion and sesame and poppy and strawberry. together at last.

video games and candy
for some reason bao's school district has short days on wednesdays,
so he needed a ride home at 1:30.
i picked him up and we drove around a bit and talked.
i'm getting to know him better and that's kind of neat (we're eight years apart), .
when we got home we decided to have some lunch.
he made a sandwich while i had a cup of noodle soup.
then we ate a few pieces of sour candy, watched pokemon and played video games.
we're getting along better these days, because we are both like 8 year olds.

pudding and bananas
bao and i had to cook dinner tonite.
so we decided to make some creamy pasta with tuna.
my mom's friend pepper stopped by while we were cooking.
i don't know what i think of this lady.
everytime she comes over she criticizes something (usually us).
things like, "oh you american kids can use chopsticks?"
or, "you guys don't eat hamburgers every day? i thought american kids did."
and it's not a new to this country sort of thing, she moved here from ohio.
and her daughter is an "american kid" who uses chopsticks and doesn't eat hamburgers every day.
it's all just a bit irritating.
