driving around

homemade
this morning i woke up and had cornbread for breakfast.
samshrew had made cornbread muffins last night.
there's been this box of cornbread mix in the pantry for weeks.
i had been craving them ever since i saw the box.

summer sausage taste test
samshrew was heading back to berkeley today.
and lucky me got to drive her there.
before we left we had sandwiches made from summer sausage.
for those of you that don't know, summer sausage is a meat stick.
sort of like salami, only not.

so long samshrew
we had been on the road for about 20 minutes
when i realized i'd left my wallet at home.
the weather was pretty bad,
so i didn't want to risk driving all the way to berkeley and back without it.
so we turned around and then left again.
when we finally got to berkeley i helped samshrew unpack her stuff.
(the car was completely full)
when we had everything unloaded and settled in, we went to the ranch market.
samshrew didn't know that they also served hot-food there.
so i bought her a box of chinese food (3 items even) and took her home.
once we finished chowing down, i left her to her studies and drove back.
