soy milk and a balance bar

off to the city
this morning i got up and drove to the city.
i was meeting up with april and the folks at planet magazine.
i didn't have time to eat breakfast,
so before i left i grabbed a honey-yogurt balance bar and soy milk.
it sounds pretty "health-food-store" oriented,
but it was more like "the only option for quick breakfast."

bagels with april

babies?
when i got to the city, i met april at her house.
i waited for her to get ready and then we went to the planet "office."
afterwards we headed to katz bagel shop.
i had a sesame seed bagel with dill/cucumber spread.
i also had a tangerine juice.
while we were there april started talking about babies.
apparently she'd like one and only one.
i don't think i ever want my own babies.

cookie and italian soda

planet schmanet
after bagels, april had to run around collecting magazines.
she's the local consignment girl for planet.
i still can't tell what i think about the planet guys.
we were only there for a short time,
but it was long enough for me to have second thoughts.
i still think it would be fun, but i'm not as sold as i was before.

nerds from howard

introducing howard
around 4:30, i said goodbye to april and drove down to randall's work.
his cubemate howard was still there when i arrived.
i hadn't seen him in a while, so i talked to him for a bit.
after a few minutes he provided me with an array of snacky-foods.
apparently he wanted to be a pocketpig celebrity.
so i took a box of halloween-leftover nerds.
sidenote: i should have paid more attention to howard's hair, eyes and attire.
but oh well, you get the idea.

noodles in mountain view

pho fun
after hanging out at randall's work for a while,
it was time to go get dinner.
randall and i ended up in downtown mountain view.
downtown mountain view is mostly restaurants,
so we had a wide array of choices.
in the end we decided on pho noodles.
sidenote: before dinner i decided that today was going to be the "re-birth" of pocketpig,
and coincidentally, this is the restaurant where pocketpig was born.

bubble tea and toast

bacon bits (part 2)
when we were done with dinner we walked around for a bit.
we ended up in the bookstore where we read children's books.
i find it funny how i always end up in the kid's section.
my brother says it's because i'm like an eight year old.
i guess that's better than eighty years old.
afterwards we went to the bubble tea place,
i had grape pearl tea and taiwan toast with butter.
