this morning i woke up late.
i always do this at my parent's house.
like i've said before it's the only place i can sleep in.
maybe it's just because i'm used to it.
they're moving soon, so we'll see if i can still do it.
when i woke up i had a bowl of cereal before leaving.
we had to go to this chinese new year celebration at csus.

when we arrived my mom was running around in a panic.
her group is one of the major sponsors of this show.
she is forcing all of us (samshrew, bao, my dad and i) to help out.
she told me that i would be driving senior citizens around.
the ones that need to go home early, as well as helping out the info booth.
however when i got there, i discovered that she had other plans.
apparently someone couldn't make it today, and she was short one person.
so i got to be a chinese KARAOKE judge.
(the second stage was all karaoke.)
oh how i wished i had brought a video camera.
it was the craziest thing i've ever seen.
we had to judge on stage presence, expression, voice and how well they followed.
between the preliminary section and the finals, my mom brought me chinese food.
general chicken the way i like it!!
sidenote: i swear to it, these people have GOT to practice on a regular basis.

after the chinese new year event, i called wes.
since i was already half way to downtown, i figured i'd go hang out.
wes lives downtown.
when i got there he played me a bunch of new music.
their new stuff is really nice.
afterwards we picked up josh and then ruth.
and then off to original perry's we went.
original perry's is this truck stop a little out of the way.
but for some reason wes always goes there.
so whenever i visit, i go too.
they have crystal ice cream milkshakes, so i had a strawberry one.
crystal strawberry ice cream is the best strawberry ice cream!
