apparently you can sucker randall into just about anything. at 4:30 he called me at work to
ask when i was going to be home, because apparently these vacuum sales girls had just come to
the door and asked if they could do a demonstration. so he signed up for one, and they said
they'd be back at 5:30 because they were doing demos at a few other houses first. i couldn't believe
he said yes. i have a weird feeling about letting people in the house to demo products.
if i wanted a vacuum cleaner i'd have gone to wal-mart.
we decided to just not be there when the gypsies, i mean vacuum cleaner people came, so we left and went to wal-mart.
but bao didn't want to go. so he stayed home. which was okay with me. because then he can deal with the gypsies.
taka's sushi
for reals sushi club
when we got to wal-mart i discovered that they had a few toolboxes for a good price (i have tools,
just no where to put them so they are currently lying all over the house). i decided on a yellow one. it came with a baby one inside as well as a
pouchy-thing on the outside. after i had decided on it, i realized that the baby one probably didn't
actually belong to it (although it looked like it might). so i was faced with a moral dilemma. take
the baby one out of the box, or leave it in. there were no signs, and nothing said it came with a baby
one. but nothing said it didn't. i left it in. then we went to taka's to meet wes.
world's smartest twins
great spot
taka's is a really cute sushi place downtown. it feels like your neighborhood sushi place.
it even has a for real's sushi club. you eat there so many times and then you start
getting invited to special sushi tastings. taka's also appears to be the home of the
two smartest stray cats in town. there are two jones colored cats that hang out in front
and wait to eat the scraps off the plates of the patio diners. cats who hang out for
sushi. talk about genius. at first i didn't realize there were two. it was like they
suddently started multiplying.
