omelettes!
a for effort c for display
this morning i decided i needed to get working on my file cabinet again. about a month ago i tried to decoupage clothing patterns onto it. it worked out fine, except the glue turned the tissue paper semi-transparent and it looked really weird with the gray cabinet in the background. so i was de-decoupaging it (translation: stripping it back down to gray). while i was doing this randall was making breakfast, which was mostly just bacon. i asked if he would make me an omelet. he freaked out for a bit (he hates eggs with a passion) and said he couldn't do it because he didn't know how and because well, they were eggs. but eventually he decided to give it a stab. it looked really ugly, but it tasted really good. so i guess that's a start. although he had to take my word for it, he wouldn't even try them.
homemade pasta sauce too!
meal number 2
after several hours of de-decoupaging randall decided it was time for lunch. he's on this new homemade pasta sauce kick. lately we've been chopping up fresh tomatoes and herbs and throwing them all into the blender. the blender is our new food processor. we just toss everything in, blend and viola! homemade pasta sauce. but since i'd had the omelet, i wasn't that hungry. however i still managed to squeeze in a few bites of pasta.
quite possibly the world's greatest cookies
remember all the ingredients!
later i decided that i should make cookies. i'm not sure why i decided it, maybe it's because i'm still working on perfecting the world's greatest chocolate chip cookie. this batch was close, but maybe not quite world's greatest. i also tried to make a batch with espresso, but they didn't turn out that strong.
