09.26.03 - i think this might have been a date
surprise!
why hi! to you too.
today was your typical friday. get up, get ready, go to work, go to gym, go back to work. the clock goes slower on fridays too. there must be something about the way the earth travels around the sun on fridays. the magentic pull must alter the clocks, because they go by so slowly. when it was finally quitting time, i im'ed randall to tell him i was on my way home and he should have a surprise for me. i was thinking maybe he'd have a drink ready, or a dinner plan or something. but when i got home there was a hi! note attached to the front door. it was a nice surprise.

suggest a match
a few weeks ago turonimo suggested a friendster match with his pal kat. she lives in sacto too and is friends with my friends. but i've never met her. so in order to remedy that, we've been trying to hang out. but it never seems to work out. today we were supposed to meet up for the movies, but at the last minute she had to cancel due to her housemate leaving. so randall and i decided to go out by ourselves instead. we ended up going to the other thai place on broadway (not the one everyone seems to like better, but the one we'd never tried before) and we learned why everyone goes to the one next door. i had the seafood tom yum and it was good, but not great and definitely not amazing.
lost in translation
subtleties
after dinner randall and i walked over to the tower theater to see lost in translation. we almost didn't make it in time. but luckily we only missed a tiny bit of the previews and even more luckily, there were still two seats left in the middle. this movie was fantastic. i would highly recommend it to anyone. sidenote: i am so glad i have been there before. i need to go back and i would prefer to do it with giovanni ribisi's character's job. so if you can help make that come true, let me know. thanks.
why?!
wal-mart wedding
once the movie ended we realized that there was enough time to make it to the store (i had a few things i needed to pick up). we tried to go to target, but they had just closed, so we *sighed* and made our way over to wal-mart. i hate this store. and i hate that it's the closest to our house. and i hate that we're always there. however, only at wal-mart can you see what i saw tonite. as we passed the clothing area randall pointed out a lady in a bridal gown. since it's wal-mart i felt it was okay to stare and went back to get a better look. she was there in the bra/panty area with a guy dressed in a tuxedo. according to someone this was a brand new couple. they had just gotten married....why on earth would you go to wal-mart on your wedding night? and why would you be shopping for lingerie there? why??? what is wrong with this store?
